some reflections on the year 2020

It’s been a crazy year—definitely one we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. And as we approach the winter solstice, the darkest day of the year, I find myself deepening into the reflective process.

For me, this year has been a time of loss and heartache, as well as celebration and love.

It’s been a year of maturation and adult-ing, coupled with a revived sense of childlike wonder and curiosity for life.

It’s been an year of transformation as the grip of doubt and fear dissolves into a lighthearted acceptance for the discomforts they bring.

It’s been a year of settling into my talents and skills. And of sharing myself more authentically with others.

It’s been a year of deep rest and deep work. Of deep love and deep surrender.

…It’s been quite a ride…

And through this ride, as things have been shaken up, shifted around, and settled back down, I’ve gained some clarity about my next steps. And this was one of them—creating a website for myself and offering my design services and creations to more people.

That’s where you come in. You are the “more people” I’m referring to, and I’m so happy you are here. This year, I have come to realize, in a greater sense, just how intimately connected we all are. And it’s my hope that as I step outside of my comfort zone, and present myself and my services and my creations to you, that we may all benefit.

I hope you enjoy what you see here. (If not, that’s ok too.) And I hope you’ll come back! This site will continue to grow and evolve.

Here’s to a joyful ending to the infamous year of 2020.
